One of my favourite Monty Python sketches is the one where the obsequious waiter performed by john Cleese persuades the gross fat customer to have just one wafer thin mint to complete the meal.
They feed him the mint with tweezers like an armourer priming an unstable explosive.
Which is exactly what they were doing.

When I was growing up in Fife in the 1970s, braw was used as an equivalent of beautiful, as in a braw lassie.
